Yet another good Hastings High School softball season came to an end last week. The Raiders lost on May 26 to Eagan in the Section 3AAAA tournament, ending their season. The score was 4-0.In the game, Hastings batters were kept off-balance by a strong Eagan pitcher. Hastings managed to get a handful of hits, including three doubles, but nothing could be strung together and the blue and gold was kept off the scoreboard.Lauren Ernst was the starting Hastings pitcher.

A day before, on May 25, Hastings beat Henry Sibley to stay alive in the tournament. Hastings won a close one over the Warriors, 2-1. Erin Henrichs started as the Hastings pitcher and was relieved by Ernst.In the opening game of the section tournament on May 23, Hastings lost to East Ridge, 7-6. Previously  Hastings lost to Hill-Murray on May 18, 3-1. Had the Raiders won that game, they would have won a share of the Metro East Conference title.
