The Hastings Raiders girls' tennis team traveled to Burnsville Tuesday, Aug. 24, to take on the Blaze and were edged out 4-3. The two teams split the four singles matches while Burnsville took two out of three doubles matches.

Claire Keller won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1 while Charlotte Kranz fell in No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-2. Reese Keller lost a tight No. 3 singles match 3-6, 6-1, 13-11 but Autumn Winkler took another close match at No. 4 singles 6-4, 3-6, 10-7. 

Chloe Konrady and Molly Moran lost in No. 1 doubles 6-3, 6-0 while the pair of Ellie Haas and Brooklyn Keller fell in No. 2 doubles 6-3, 7-5. Ruby Rotty and Mikayla Schuster took No. 3 doubles 6-2, 1-6, 10-8.

Hastings hosts a home invite on Friday at 9 a.m. against Rosemount, Visitation and a team to be determined. The Raiders then welcome Rochester Century on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 4:30 p.m.
