The top-seeded Miesville Mudhens dropped game two of their best-of-three series against the No. 6 Dundas Dukes 8-3 Sunday in Dundas. The two teams will now play in Miesville Tuesday night, Aug. 10, at 8 p.m. to decide the winner and who will represent Section 1B at the Class B State Tournament.

The Mudhens previously took game one 11-2 after sweeping both regular season meetings between the two teams. While the winner of the series automatically moves on to the state tournament, the loser still has a chance in a Redemption Round against the two other losers. The two closest seeds of the three teams play on Friday, Aug. 13, with the loser eliminated. The winner and the highest seed then play Sunday, Aug. 15, to determine who gets the fourth and final state tournament berth.

The Rochester Royals beat the Hampton Cardinals two games to none, so the Cardinals will be one of the redemption teams. The other series between Elko and New Market is tied. Should Miesville lose the series, they automatically would not have to play the first redemption round game based on them being the top seed.
