The Hastings Raiders volleyball team is the No. 8 seed in Section 3AAAA and will go to Eagan to face the top-seeded Wildcats next Tuesday, Oct. 26. Alec Hamilton / Hastings Star Gazette

A tough regular season is over for the Hastings Raiders volleyball team and next up is sections. The Raiders, who went 1-21 this fall, are the bottom seed in Section 3AAAA and will face the top-seeded and No. 2-ranked in Class AAAA Eagan Wildcats in Eagan on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.

The winner will go on to face either the No. 4 Woodbury Royals or No. 5 Eastview Lightning on Thursday, Oct. 28.

The Raiders suffered from a severe lack of experience and injuries this season with a squad that featured plenty of seniors, but those seniors lacked varsity experience.

Eagan went 19-3 during the regular season and is the No. 2 team in the class according to QRF behind Wayzata.
