The Hastings Raiders cross country team competed in the Section 3AAA meet at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley Thursday. Raider senior Tyler Bushinski finished 11th with a time of 16 minutes, 30.7 seconds, just two spots and between 10-11 seconds outside of qualifying for the state meet as an individual.

The Hastings boys took ninth as a team with 239 points while the Raider girls were eighth with 233 points. The boys were 50 points out of eighth while the girls 14 points behind the seventh-place Apple Valley Eagles.

Behind Bushinski, senior Thomas Siebenaler took 53rd with a time of 18:20.1. Two spots behind Siebenaler was sophomore Aiden Stoltz, who finished 55th in 18:42.1. Junior Max Albertson took 59th with a time of 19:09.2, junior Aaron Herber finished 61st in 19:19.7 and right behind Herber in 62nd came sophomore Noah Quigley (19:49.7). 

Sophomore Jordyn Doughty led the Raider girls, taking 40th with a time of 22:38.4. Fellow sophomore Emma Kelly took 46th with a time of 24:24.6 and right behind her in 47th was senior Autumn Adricula (24:28.8). Junior Molly Caturia took 49th with a time of 24:54.6 and freshman Hannah Hoff finished 51st in 25:13.7. 

This was the last cross country meet for head coach John Dewall.
