Hastings High School and Athletic Director Trent Hanson announced the hiring of Joe Rabaey as the Raiders' new cross-country head coach on Monday.

Rabaey is a 2013 graduate of HHS and during his time as a Raider he was a three-sport athlete in cross-country, nordic skiing and track and field.

Rabaey went on to St. John's University where he was also a three-sport athlete in cross-country, nordic skiing and indoor and outdoor track. He has been an assistant coach under John Dewall with the Raider nordic ski team the past three years.

Rabaey replaces Dewall, who is retiring from his three coaching positions after this year. Dewall has coached Raiders cross-country for decades on top of several other sports.
