Monday, Dec. 6

Hastings girls basketball took on the Eagan Wildcats Monday without senior Lilly Nuytten and the result was rough. The Raiders fell 64-20 to the Wildcats and trailed 47-5 at halftime.

Senior Maggie Schlottman led Hastings with six points and just six players scored for Hastings. 

With the loss, the Raiders fall to 3-2 overall. They next play Friday at St. Anthony and go to New Life Academy on Saturday.

Tuesday, Dec. 7

Hastings boys basketball hosted the Park Wolfpack Tuesday night and lost a close game 61-59 after trailing by four at halftime. 

Michael Mitchell led the Raiders with 20 points while Will Hubbard added 10 points and Jonathon Watson eight. 

Park's Evan Bearth had 21 points and Jamari Walker contributed 20. Josh Hatano added nine. 

The Raiders are 1-2 overall and travel to Apple Valley on Friday.

The Raiders girls hockey team traveled to West. St. Paul yesterday where they fell 5-1 to Two Rivers/St. Paul. 

The game was scoreless after the first period before the Riveters scored two goals in the second period and one more in the third before Hastings got on the board.

Scoring for the Raiders 6 minutes, 39 seconds in to the third period was freshman Lauren Muhl, assisted by seniors Lauren Skov and Ireland Zaruba. 

The Riveters scored twice more in the third for the 5-1 final.

The loss drops Hastings to 4-6 on the season. The Raiders go to North St. Paul/Tartan on Friday
