To the editor,
We are approaching a critical school board election on Nov. 2. Three of the candidates have the endorsement of The National Teachers' Union.
Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with this organization, it has definitive political ties, with its focus on the financial and professional interest of it's union members. In essence, they take their marching orders from outside our community.
But who is looking out for the interest of the students and families locally?
The voices of parents, families and our community members are not being heard.
It's time to give back our local school decisions to the the parents, and put our kids before politics.
That is why I am supporting Carrie Tate, Jessica Dressely and Mike Reis.
Tate, Dressely and Reis support giving back to parents and community a voice in our district.
They promote parental choice, community engagement and fiscal responsibility.
Let's put the investment back in the classroom, rather than the pocket of consultants.
Let's focus on preparing our young people for success in and out of the classroom. Please take the time to vote next Tuesday. This is our future.
