Our beloved Mother departed this earth Nov 10, 2021. We take great comfort in knowing she was met by our Father Arvin “Ed” Whitt and other beloved family members in heaven. Loretta Jean Whitt was born September 8 1945 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She journeyed to Sacramento, California in the spring of 1962 with her family. She would often tell us she never missed the snowy winters or the humid summers in Minnesota. She met our Dad November 22, 1963 and they married February 15, 1964. They were married for 52 years prior to his death in 2016.
She was a wonderful wife and mother. She was always there to support our family in anything and everything. She always made the holidays special with her home cooked meals and special home made Birthday Cakes. She always made sure during our grade school years she participated in both of our class celebrations with home made treats and just being present. She handmade and sewed our Halloween costumes. We were lucky to have a Mom home everyday when we got off of the school bus.
She is survived by her daughters Laura Louise and Lisa Jean as well as her grand dog, Cash Money and grand cat, Speckles. She is also survived by cousins, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as many, many friends. She knew you all held her up in prayer and good thoughts during her illness.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Charles and Laura Heinsch as well as a sister and brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Road Dixon, California on Thursday December 16, 2021 at 2:30pm.
Our Mom was so careful during the pandemic we are asking everyone to please follow COVID 19 precautions: Masks, Social Distancing at least 6 ft. distance and good hand washing. If you are feeling ill, please stay home- We fully understand.
Due to COVID precautions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
She was our Mom, our confidant, our Best friend. We will miss her as well as our Father dearly.
