Arden Louise (Halk) Sanstead Obituary

Arden passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022 at age 92. She was born in Minneapolis October 6, 1929. She was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School. Embracing her Swedish heritage, she graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College where she met her husband, John. Arden taught English for Hastings School District as a substitute. She was active in a variety of women’s organizations and her church, St. Philips Lutheran Church. Arden loved Hastings and served as chair for the Hastings Rehabilitation and Housing Authority (HRA) for many years. She and John became annual snowbirds, basking in Winter Haven Florida. She is survived by sons Mark (Julie) and Peter (Lissa) and grandchildren Christopher (Chris), Paul, Erinn and Caitlin. Interment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Hastings Family Service. Celebration of Life to be held 1:00 on 5/24/2022 at St. Philips Lutheran Church, Hastings, MN
