Arlene E. Snyder

Snyder, Arlene Eunice (Cleveland), loving mother and admired grandmother left this world with her family surrounding her on February 10, 2019 in Farmington, Minnesota after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 26, 1937 in Farmington to Eldon Monroe and Edna Arline (Anderson) Cleveland. Arlene attended Lakeville school district all twelve years of her educational journey. She was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church in Lakeville. Arlene was united in marriage to Harvey Snyder of Farmington. After moving to multiple states for career paths they settled back into Farmington and opened the Farmington Agency. Arlene was an integral part of a thriving insurance/real estate business in Farmington. Wanting to follow her life's passion, Arlene went back to college to earn her teaching degree at the University of Minnesota. Upon completion of her degree Arlene began to teach first grade at JFK Elementary school in Lakeville for almost 30 years. She also taught in the Adult Education GED classes in Farmington. Arlene was very active in her church, belonging to the Quilting Group and Women's Ministry. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her precious grandsons, relaxing at the lake, crafting, sewing, and going on quilt retreats with her daughter. She is survived by daughter Lisa (Bruce) Schlosser, grandsons - Zachary and Lukas Schlosser, beloved granddog - Zoe, significant other Bob O'Brien, sister Elaine Porter, aunts, uncles, nephews, niece, and many cousins. Preceded in death by parents- Eldon and Edna Cleveland and son - Timothy Snyder.

Memorial service will be Monday February 18, 2019 at 2pm, with visitation one-hour prior at Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Rd. Farmington, MN. We, the family of Arlene, would like to express our deepest appreciation to the Northfield Hospice staff, especially nurse Emily.
