The renovations at McNamara Stadium and the installation of artificial turf on Todd Field started this past week, and the field now resembles a dirt bike track.

Major points of the renovations are the installation of artificial turf, a handicap bleacher lift, a ticket building and paving of the parking lot. The improvements are expected to cost just more than $2 million and are part of a larger $49.5 million bond approved by Hastings voters in 2017.

The Todd Field and McNamara Stadium improvements are expected to be completed before the fall sports seasons. The Raider football, boys' and girls' soccer and boys' and girls' lacrosse teams all use the field.
