ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received in the office of the Denmark Township Clerk, located at the Denmark Town Hall, 14008 90h Street South, Hastings, Minnesota, until 3:00 P.M., November 6, 2017 for the provision of:
and Snow Removal Services
Those interested in bidding must contact the Town Clerk to obtain the Specifications/Bidding Instructions, the Bid Form, and the Road Maintenance Agreement. The term of services is from the 2017 winter maintenance season until the end of the 2020 summer maintenance season. No bid will be considered unless it is securely sealed in an envelope, labeled with the nature of the bid, and received by the Town Clerk prior to the time noted above for the closing of bids.
Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security equal to $2,500.00, which shall be forfeited to Denmark Township in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract or to furnish the required proof of insurances. The bid security shall be a bid bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota and acceptable to the Township, or a certified check or cashier's check from a federally insured bank, payable to "Denmark Township."
If awarded the bid, the bidder will be required to enter into the Road Maintenance Agreement with the Township. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in its discretion, the interests of the Township would be best served thereby.
The bids will be opened and read aloud at the Denmark Town Hall during the November 6, 2017 Town Board meeting at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Town Board will consider awarding of the bid at the same meeting, but may delay taking action until a later meeting.
