Hastings, Minn. - The traditional United Way of Hastings (UWH) annual giving campaign kickoff is back at Todd Field this year to coincide with the first home Hastings Raiders football game on Thursday, Sept. 9.
"It will be so much fun this year to get back to historic Todd Field and kick off UWH’s annual giving campaign at the first home Raiders football game," UWH executive director Mari Mellick said.
Last year, the kickoff was held virtually due to the pandemic.
UWH staff and board members, campaign sponsors, and other representatives will be wearing United Way’s signature LIVE UNITED t-shirts and greet attendees with informational materials.
Community members will be able to view a special campaign video that will highlight the appreciation of police officers, firefighters, first responders, and healthcare workers for their efforts during the pandemic.
The video along with a complete listing of UWH Campaign Sponsors can be viewed at www.unitedwayofhastings.org.
The UWH has been the Heart of Hastings for nearly 60 years working as an independent United Way serving Hastings and the surrounding rural communities within Independent School District #200.
Its mission is to build partnerships to improve the lives of people in our community.
Initiatives funded by UWH are all local agencies and programs – supporting Education, Health and Financial Empowerment with an emphasis on Youth. Donations are accepted year-round.
