Prescott High School sophomore Nina Jones

Sophomore Nina Jones has been chosen as Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week.

Jones was nominated by math teacher Kayla Kinneman for being an exemplary and well-prepared student in her Algebra 2 class.

"She was willing to participate in class and ask higher order thinking questions that enabled her to dig deeper into the content," Kinneman said. "Nina was also willing to help other students that were struggling and share her knowledge with them."

Jones is also involved in a number of school activities and community service opportunities outside of school.

Community Service, employment, outside clubs:

Prescott Food Pantry Board member and volunteer.

Hobbies or interests:

Music, running and being with friends.

School sports:

Cross country 

Future plans:

Going to college for a career in the medical sciences.
