Following a spike in demand for COVID-19 tests as the omicron variant surges, Minnesota is opening up two new community testing sites in Cottage Grove and Anoka.

Both sites will offer rapid antigen tests and PCR salvia tests free to the community.

Testing in Cottage Grove open Thursday, Jan. 13 at 8180 Belden Blvd, Cottage Grove.

The site will be open Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and  accept up to 1,000 people per day.

“Community testing sites are important component of our COVID-19 response,” Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan said in a press release. “We know how important these testing locations are to Minnesotans, and we’re working hard to expanding our testing network to make sure more Minnesotans can access these resources.”
