The Dakota County Board of Commissioners is headed to the fair, and you’re invited to join them.

The board will hold a special meeting at the Dakota County Fair on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m., at the Entertainment Tent. The fairgrounds are at 4008 220th St., Farmington.

During the meeting, commissioners will:

  • Honor the 2021 Farm Family of the Year
  • Receive an update from 4-H participants
  • Hold a public comment period
  • Recognize 2021 National Association of Counties Achievement Awards

“The county fair is a great celebration and reminder of Dakota County’s strong connection to agriculture,” board Chair Mary Liz Holberg said. “We’re looking forward to meeting with residents, recognizing farmers and 4-H’ers, and having some fun at the fair.”
