Maya Quiroz

Senior Maya Quiroz has been chosen as Prescott Kiwanis Student of the Week.

Quiroz was nominated by band teacher Jason Canfield who said Maya is a good musician and a natural, enthusiastic leader.

"Maya is willing to help the students and teacher in any way she can through all of our activities and sound," Canfield said. "Maya always wants to help and is a positive role within the band, she is a student I can always trust to help out and lead."

Quiroz is involved in a number of school activities and community service opportunities outside of school.

Community Service, employment, outside clubs:

"I work at Lucille’s, Volunteer at Joy Lutheran Church, I am Drum Major, A member of NHS, was nominated for Badger Girl State, and have received High Honors for 2 years."

Hobbies or interests:

"I like reading and hanging out with my friends in my free time as well as watching scary movies [and] tv shows."

School Sports:

Prescott High School Girls Basketball

Future Plans:

"I plan to major in criminology or criminal justice so I can become a CSI or an FBI field agent."
