Hastings City Hall

City Hall is located at 101 4th St E, Hastings.

Help shape Hastings future by serving on a commission or task force.  Commissioners serve an advisory role to the City Council providing review and recommendation of policies and activities. 

Commissions generally meet 1-2 hours in the evening once a month. 

City staff provides background information and guidance for commission discussion and actions. 

Task Forces are generally shorter term and task-specific. 

Commission Openings 

The City currently has openings on Planning Commission, Heritage Preservation Commission (HPC), and Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA).

Deadline is Dec. 3, 2021. 

Task Force Openings 

The City seeks members for the Arts Task Force (formerly the Public Arts Grant Task Force). 

The Arts Task Force will define the future objectives or mission of the group. 

The group will also create a short-term workplan and make recommendations to Council on possible needed structure changes going forward.

Deadline is Dec. 3, 2021.
