The Hastings Police Department is investigating the death of a man at Roadside Park. 

The department received a call on the morning of Wednesday, April 19, regarding a medical emergency at the park. Officers and medics arrived and found the man deceased. He was estimated to be in his 40s. 

The body was taken by the Hennepin County Medical Center. He has not yet been publicly identified. 

"This is an active investigation within the Hastings Police Department, and there are no safety concerns for the community related to this incident or at Roadside Park," said Hastings Chief of Police David Wilske in a statement.
