Officers responded to a past action  school bus stop arm violation which occurred in the 3300 block of Lester Ave on March 29. Upon investigation, Keith Andrew Blesi, age 54 of Hastings, was cited for failing to stop for a school bus.

On April 1, Officer Haedt responded to the area of Tyler Street near 10th Street East for an accident. Gavin William Meier, age 17 of Hastings, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign. 


On March 27, officers responded to Regina Hospital to assist Burnsville Police Department. The officers took Steven Schirmers, age 42 of Big Lake, into custody for his St. Louis County warrants, Anoka County warrants, and Lake County warrants.  

On March 27, officers located an individual with a warrant on the 1800 block of 13th Street West. Richard Patrick Davis, age 40 of Hastings, was arrested for three Dakota County warrants. 

On March 28, officers assisted the Dakota County Drug Task Force in making an arrest near 27th Street East. No information about the suspect, other than that it was an adult, was included in the incident report.

On March 28, officers responded to the 1300 block of 4th Street West for a possible domestic. While on scene, officers arrested Matthew Charles Fredrick Gaffnery, age 33 of Hastings, for disorderly conduct. 

On April 1, officers initiated a warrant call on Patrick Lane and arrested Thomas Charles Peterson, age 20 of Hastings, for a felony Dakota County warrant. 


On March 28, officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 18th Street East for a theft report. 

On March 28, officers responded to a burglary report on the 200 block of 2nd Street West. An unknown suspect stole a welder, copper wire, and tools from a construction site.

On March 30, officers responded to the 1700 block of Frontage Road North for a report of a theft. 

On April 1, an officer took a fraud report from the 1110 block of Vermillion Street. The case is under investigation. 

Property Damage

On March 28, officers assisted another agency on the 1500 block of Ravenna Trail regarding a property damage incident. 

On March 31, officers responded to a one-vehicle crash in the 400 block of 9th Street West. 

On April 1, officers responded to a past damage to property incident in the 200 block of 2nd Street West. An unknown person caused about $25.00 in damage. 


On March 31, officers responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of Walnut St. 

Missing Persons

On March 30, officers responded to a report of a juvenile runaway in the 1300 block of North Frontage Road. The missing person has been found and returned home safely.
