The 2017 Rotary Pavilion Programming season recently wrapped up and the Parks and Recreation Department of Hastings is looking for community feedback.

Paige Marschall Bigler, recreation programming specialist, said the survey is a way to receive feedback from the community so that they can make programming in 2018 even better.

"Being that the facility and space is new to Hastings, people are still learning about it or experiencing it," Marschall Bigler said.

The survey is a way for the parks and recreation department to gain feedback and take into consideration what the community would like to see through programming. This year's programming included outdoor movies, concerts, fitness classes, story time, live animal presentations, bike with a ranger, painting and performances.

Pavilion programming has already seen growth in participation since it began in 2016. This year there were 40 programs with more than 4,700 attendees compared to 2016 when there was about 3,600 attendees for the 39 events.

Marschall Bigler said that the parks and recreation department hopes to continue to develop their programming in an effort to meet community needs and utilize the great space that the pavilion offers Hastings. They hope to fine tune the programming for 2018 with the help of information gained from the survey.

The survey is available through Oct. 22 by visiting
