Land Equity Development will host an open house at 6:00 p.m. on January 26 at the Hastings American Legion (50 Sibley Street) to review plans for the development of approximately 70 acres located east of TH 316 – Red Wing Blvd and Michael Avenue.

Land Equity Development has dubbed their residential development as Walden of Hastings, and it is being referred to as a live cycle housing development. The proposed concept plan contains a variety of residential housing, including single family, twin home, townhome and apartment development. The proposed development site is currently outside of the Hastings city limits.

There will be a question and answer period during the open house to collect input from residents on the concept plan. A virtual reality tour is also being offered to give a more in-depth idea of what the development may look like.

An application to annex the land into the city from Marshan Township will be considered by the City Council in the near future. Meeting notifications will be mailed to property owners within 350 feet of the development prior to any action by the City Council.
