Court proceedings to resume after power outage at Dakota County judicial center

A power outage early this morning at the Dakota County Government Center initially caused court proceedings to be cancelled. The power was restored by 10:30 a.m. and courts’ in-custody will resume at 11 a.m. All other court activities will resume at noon.

A portion of the Dakota County Judicial Center was without power this morning. Mary Beth Schubert, director of communications at Dakota County, said that the power outage was restricted to a portion of the judicial center, but the facility was being partially powered through a back-up generator.

A monthly test was being conducted when there was an electrical malfunction.
