The City of Hastings announced Monday, Aug. 9, that it is trying out a new project called “Makers Alleyway Market”. The market is a way for Hastings to showcase what it has to offer in the historic downtown and along the river walk. Makers Alleyway Market will be held in the alley between 2nd Street and Levee Park on three consecutive Thursdays -- August 19, August 26 and September 2 -- from 4:30-8:30 p.m.

Vendors will be set up in the alley between Ramsey Street and Sibley Street while the alley between Sibley Street and Vermillion Street will be a place for people to draw their own art with sidewalk chalk, courtesy of the Hastings Prescott Area Arts Council. Visitors will be able to shop, eat and enjoy live music at Levee Park.

Vendors interested must register and apply for a Transient Merchants License.
