Chicago to perform Sept. 6 in Hastings
Rivertown Live!, a charitable concert venture between the Hastings Area Rotary Club and United Heroes League, announced rock 'n' roll band Chicago will headline this year's outdoor concert in Hastings.
Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago. The band has recorded 36 albums and sold over 100,000,000 records. Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and has produced 23 gold, 18 platinum and 8 multi-platinum albums. Chicago's first album, "Chicago Transit Authority", was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014. Primary band songwriters Robert Lamm and James Pankow were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017.
United Heroes League is a nonprofit based in Hastings that assists military families by providing free sports equipment, free camps, financial grants to pay for registration fees and pro sports tickets.
