On May 2, TLC of Hastings celebrated its 10th Anniversary Banquet at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

The event attracted a full house of 400 people.

"We wanted 400 people to represent the 400 babies that we have helped welcome into the world since we opened 10 years ago," Executive Director Andrea Kullmann said.

Gordon DouglasTo entertain the audience, Christian comedian Gordon Douglas performed. Douglas has been in comedy for 30 years, performing throughout the world.

At the banquet, TLC of Hastings was able to raise just over its goal of $65,000. The organization offers free medical and support services to women. Without any other funding, it runs solely on one-time and monthly gifts from donors. Thursday's event was free to attend, but donations were accepted.

"As a smaller nonprofit that doesn't receive any state or federal funding this event is a huge part of our annual budget," Kullmann said. "We continue to be able to offer all of our services, education, resources and everything that we do to our community at no charge. We feel immensely blessed."
