DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received at Dakota County; Western Service Center at Dakota County - 3rd Floor; 14955 Galaxie Avenue; Apple Valley, Minnesota 55124-8579 until 9 A.M. CT on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at which time they will be opened and read aloud for the following project:
Thompson Lake Contaminated Sediment Removal and Stormwater Improvements Project within Thompson County Park, West Saint Paul, MN.
The selected Contractor will provide services under a contract with Dakota County that includes but is not limited to:
Removal of contaminated and non-contaminated sediments that have been deposited on Thompson Lake from the upstream urban watershed and inlet to Thompson Lake, so of which will be in the wet condition and other portions in the dry.
Site restoration associated to the removal of contaminated sediments.
Installation of mechanical stormwater treatment structures and related storm sewer infrastructure.
Construction and grading of a sediment forebay.
Construction of a wetland complex including detailed site grading, detailed erosion control requirements, boulder riffle structures, live plantings, and seeding establishment.
Construction of a park related functions including bituminous recreational trails, boardwalks, and other park related amenities.
Construction of an irrigation re-use system in the forebay that ties to existing irrigation system located at the picnic shelter in the park.
It is anticipated that a contract to perform the work will be awarded by resolution of Dakota County Board of Commissioners scheduled for September 18, 2018.
