Marching band streak continues, headed to championship

The Hastings Raiders Marching Band took first place in a competition at Champlin Park High School, their third win in a row.

The band competed against seven other bands and took home special awards "Outstanding Visuals," "Outstanding Percussion" and "Outstanding Colorguard."

The band is now getting ready for their final competition at the Youth in Music Minnesota State Championship on Saturday, Oct. 13. There, the Raiders will compete against 29 other high school bands from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The competition will be 8-10 a.m.
