Allison Steiner named to dean’s list Allison Steiner of Hastings has been named to dean’s list at Purdue University for the spring 2013 semester. Donna Chilson received her degree from Troy University Donna J. Chilson of Alexandria, Va., has received her Master of Science degree in criminal justice in July, 2013, from Troy University. She is the daughter of Leona Chilson of Hastings.
Carter Thomas Hanson was born on Aug. 23, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Tiffany Peterson and Levi Hanson of Welch. At birth Carter weighed 8 pounds, 10.2 ounces and was 21. 50 inches long. Grandparents are Rich and Lynn Peterson and Clare Hanson all of Welch. Great-grandparents are Linda Robinson of Hastings and Shirley Hanson of Red Wing.
Clara Louise Shelhamer was born on Aug. 25, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Jodi and Mike Shelhamer of Hastings. At birth Clara weighed 7 pounds, 7.6 ounces and was 19.75 inches long. Clara has three siblings, Liam, Rowan and Eli.
Liam Dean Nellermoe was born on Aug. 18, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Brianna Nellermoe of Hastings. At birth Liam weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Grandparents are Heather Miller of Hastings and John Nellermoe of Mendota Heights. Great-grandparents are Dan and Deb Miller of Hastings.
There will be open skating at the Hastings Civic arena at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays and 1 p.m. on Wednesdays on the west rink.
For the second year, Zywiec’s Garden Center on Highway 61 north of Hastings will play host to the Creature Feature Trail Run. The event is planned for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. There is a 5K run at 6 p.m.
