Tracy Ernst and Eli Hauschild of Fort Collins, Colo., were married on Sept. 28, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Hastings. Austin Walker was the officiant. Ernst received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in vocational rehabilitation/criminal justice in June of 2013. She is employed by the Department of Human Services in Fort Collins. She is the daughter of Denise Stromley of River Falls, Wis., and Randy Ernst of Hastings. Hauschild served in the United States Navy from 2001 to 2005. He is currently employed by Encompass Technologies in Fort Collins.
Katherine Clanton and Ben Henry-Moreland, both of Somerville, Mass., were married at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Hastings on Oct. 5, 2013. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Ed Frederick. Katherine is the daughter of Chuck and Cynthia Clanton of Hampton. She is a 2007 graduate of Hastings High School and received a bachelor’s degree in theater design and production from the University of Minnesota in 2011.

Now, Sharlene Geraghty is being recognized for her community service efforts. Geraghty is the AARP Foundation’s 2013 Andrus Award for Community Service honoree. She generously gives her time and shares her talents with the people of her community as the Tax Aide District Coordinator in Hastings.

Noah Lawrence Dickens was born on Dec. 23, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Sara Tverberg and Robert Dickens of Hampton. Noah has two siblings — Ava Dickens and Justin Tverberg. Grandparents are Robert Dickens, Sr., of Chicago, Laverne Dickens of Apple Valley and Margaret Tverberg of Farmington. Her great-grandparent is Mottie Andrews of Robbins, Ill.
Natalie Grace Davis was born on Dec. 19, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Rebecca and Brett Davis of Cannon Falls. At birth Natalie weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20.25 inches long. She has twin sisters, Hannah and Ashlyn, who are 3 years old. Her grandparents are Joe and Vickie Schweich of Hastings and Kevin and Marlys Davis of Cannon Falls. Great-grandparents are Ralph Schweich and Delores Frandrup, both of Hastings.
Harris Jamison Giefer was born on Dec. 18, 2013, at Regina Medical Center to Jill and Jason Giefer of Hastings. At birth Harris weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. His grandparents are Alice Giefer of Hastings, Marv and Rita Vander Molen of Sunburg and Mark and Cindy Jamison of Lake Norden, S.D. His great-grandmother is Rose Olson of Detroit Lakes.
Kristina Pechacek and Andrea Eglinton, both of Hastings, recently completed 10-month service terms with Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa, a nonprofit that engages young people in hands-on service managing natural resources and responding to disasters. From February through December, 135 young adults worked outside in all seasons improving recreational trails, fighting wildfires, conducting prescribed burns, removing invasive species, planting trees and conducting other conservation projects to restore native habitat throughout the Midwest.
