WASHINGTON — If you shop at ALDI stores in Minnesota, be aware when buying ground beef. On Wednesday, Sept. 19, the United States Department of Agriculture issued a recall of approximately 132,606 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E-coli, according to a department release. The ground beef was distributed by Cargill Meat Solutions, a Fort Morgan, Colo., establishment.
MINNEAPOLIS — Alex Frecon was tired of explaining. A proud native of the western suburbs of the Twin Cities, Frecon, who currently lives in Minneapolis, moved away in 2005 to attend Connecticut College in New London, Conn. HP Hood, a Massachusetts-based dairy company, is voluntarily recalling a limited number of half-gallon cartons of refrigerated Vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk because the product may contain milk, an allergen not listed on the label, the Food and Drug Administration said in a Thursday, August 2, news release.
