Sydney Lynn Wagner, infant daughter of John and Abby (Torgerson) Wagner of Vermillion, Minn., died June 24, 2010. Survivors include her parents; brother, Cooper; grandparents, John and Pam Wagner of Hampton and Steve and Kay Torgerson of Austin, Minn.; also other family members. A funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Stan Mader, was held Monday, June 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Betty Jean Keetley, age 75, of Hastings, died June 25, 2010, at her home. Betty Jean was born July 11, 1934, in Lake Benton, Minn., to Peter and Rosella (LaBounty) Bruhn. She married Francis Keetley on Oct. 17, 1953, in Columbia Heights and had worked as an account clerk for the State of Minnesota. Betty Jean was an active volunteer in the community and loved to both sew and crochet.
Harold Elmer Williamson, 81, of Red Wing, died Saturday, June 26, at his residence at Potter Ridge. He was born on Jan. 4, 1929, in Hastings, Minn., to Robert and Helen (Hagedorn) Williamson. He attended school in Hastings and then served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 22, 1951, to Jan. 21, 1953, during the Korean Conflict. On July 20, 1952, he married Donna Baringer in Red Wing. He farmed in the Welch and Red Wing area for many years. After retirement, he and Donna traveled in their motor home from 1994-2004 visiting all 50 states. Donna died on Oct. 12, 2004.
Gayle E. (McCarthy) McCabe, age 51, of Hastings passed away suddenly June 18, 2010, at her home. Gayle was born Oct. 27, 1958, in Minneapolis to Patrick and Anna (Wicklund) McCarthy. She married Timothy McCabe on June 8, 1991, in Hastings.
Daniel P. Schneider, 64, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor, passed away peacefully June 15, 2010, at his home in Hastings, surrounded by those who loved him. Dan battled non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for over 11 years. Dan was born to Paul and Frances Schneider of Hastings in 1945, both of whom preceded him in death. Dan graduated from Hastings High School in 1963, and was employed by Profile Extrusions (Intek). Dan was the proprietor of Schneider Custodial Service for 35 years and employed by City & County Credit Union (St.
Timothy Paul McCabe, age 51, of Hastings, died unexpectedly Nov. 22, 2009. Survived by wife/best friend, Gayle (McCarthy); mother, Peggy; brothers, Mike (Jeanie), Dan (Carol), Pat (Kathy), Kelly (Debbie) and Brian (Heidi); sister, Terrylee (Steve) Tervola; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Preceded in death by father, Terry; brother, Shawn; and step-daughter, Crystal Moeller. The funeral service, officiated by Fr. James Perkl, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at St.
Rita Francis Jeanne Kehoe, age 86, of Chaska, Minn., former owner of Kehoe's Resort, Howard's Point, Lake Minnetonka, passed away June 12, 2010, at Auburn Manor Care Center, Chaska. A "Celebration of Rita's Life" will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1, in the Auburn Manor Chapel, 501 Oak St. N., Chaska, MN 55318. Inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Auburn Manor Auxiliary or donor's choice. Rita was born June 26, 1923, in Hugo, Minn., to Lucian Peltier (Hugo, Minn.) and Mary Schenach (Wabasha, Minn.).
Margaret A. Dummer, age 83, of Hastings, passed away June 21, 2010. She was born Feb. 8, 1927, in St. Paul, to John and Anna Marie Kush. Marge enjoyed crocheting, traveling and babysitting. She worked at Hudson Manufacturing and was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary, earning her 50 year pin last year. Her greatest love was for her cats and children. She is preceded in death by son, Gerald Dixon; son, G. David Kane; her parents; and sister, Dorothy Kush. She is survived by sons, Thomas J. Dixon (Karen Curry) of Hastings and James F.
Grayce I. Riches, age 95, of Hastings died June 16, 2010, at Regina Assisted Living. Grayce was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Ellsworth, Wis., to George and Florence (Roach) Mumford. She was a graduate of Red Wing High School and married Theodore Riches on Oct. 15, 1940, in Red Wing. Prior to her retirement, she was a bookkeeper at a law firm. Grayce enjoyed playing Bingo, baking, sewing, traveling, and listening to big band and country music. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six siblings. Grayce is survived by her children, Theodore Riches Jr.
Ardelle A. Dohmen, an avid gardener, age 76, of Hastings, passed away June 18, 2010. Ardelle was born Jan. 15, 1934, to Casey and Amanda Nappin at Camp Douglas, Wis. She married Gerald Dohmen on Nov. 7, 1959, at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville. Together they celebrated their 50th anniversary last November. Ardelle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
