Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Waupaca at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 6th, 2009, with Reverend Larry G. Gross, officiating. On Friday, June 26, 2009, Luther (Bud) Bailey passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at Regina Medical Center in Hastings, Minn. Bud was devoted to his family and friends, and a passionate sportsman. The outdoors was his sanctuary, and he spent countless hours on the prairies of Kansas, woods of Missouri, and waters of Bull Schoals Lake. He was born and raised in Joplin, Mio. Most recently, he resided in Hastings, Minnesota. During WWII, he served on Iwo Jima.
Frances M. DeLarbre, age 93, of Hammond, Ind., passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009. She is survived by her son, Dean (Laura) DeLarbre of Minnesota and daughter, Diane Willerman of Hammond; three grandchildren, Kevin (Yvette) DeLarbre, Christine DeLarbre, and David (Michelle) Willerman; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Chelsea, Faith and Sarah. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Stubler and Ann (Al) Faleskin , both of Illinois, and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Kuhar, of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m.
The memorial service for Bruce Barton Gillard will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Central Avenue North in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend David Fechner officiating. Antonette M. "Toni" Laska, age 65, of rural Wabasha, formerly of Hastings died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2009 in rural Wabasha. Penny Lee Hamilton, age 61, of Hastings, died Thursday, June 25, 2009, at her home. Penny was born March 7, 1948, in River Falls, Wis., to Joseph and Lorraine (Yauck) Young. She married Henry C. Hamilton April 24, 1965, in Hudson, Wis. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Kenneth Young; nieces, Angela Feuerhelm and Nissi Young; and brother-in-law, William Rowan. Penny is survived by her husband, Henry C. Hamilton Sr.; children, Kim Harvey of Red Wing, Henry C. Hamilton Jr. of Owatonna; and Charles L.
Kenneth J. Waltman, age 55, of Farmington, died June 24, 2009, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Kenneth was born in St. Paul April 20, 1954, to John and Margaret (Zehowski) Waltman.
Eleanor Ellsworth, mother of former Hastings resident Sondra Ellsworth Glasenapp, died Monday, June 15, at the Golden Living Center in Rochester. Eleanor chose to give her body to Mayo Clinic Research and Training. Norbert H. Krech, age 80, of Hastings, died June 22, 2009, at the Inver Grove Good Samaritan Center. Norbert was born in Prescott, Wis., Dec. 14, 1928, to Henry and Hulda (Bester) Krech. He attended Prescott schools, later serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. Norbert married Mary "Tootie" Lorentz Oct. 14, 1950. He was employed by 3M Chemolite as a warehouse operator prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary, Oct.
