Dorothy D. (Holman) Hertogs, age 50, of Hastings, died Feb. 12, 2010 following a lengthy illness. Her survivors include son, Alex, and daughter, Becca; two sisters; one brother; other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Frederick Coe Anderegg, 93, formerly of Hastings, died Feb. 5, 2010, in Dearborn, Mich. He lived with integrity, unpretentiousness and kindness to all. He grew up in Ohio, graduating with a degree in chemistry from Otterbein College in 1940. He served in the Army during WWII as a radio corpsman in the South Pacific. Fred and Lois Carmen were married in 1946 and settled in Hastings in 1954 to raise their five children. Fred worked at the petroleum processing plant as a chemist and environmental engineer for 30 years. Fred was active in ALL aspects of life.
Ralph C. Fendrick, age 95, of Hastings, died Feb. 13, 2010, at Regina Nursing Home. Ralph was born Feb. 5, 1915, in Clements, Minn., to Rudolph and Zelpha (Smith) Fendrick. He married Fern O. Fuhr on Jan. 2, 1937, in New Ulm, Minn. Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for the Minnesota State Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Paul and Wayne; wife, Fern; one brother and two sisters.
LaVerne E. Kujath, 97, former longtime psychiatric aide at the Hastings State Hospital, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at her daughter's home in Rochester after a short illness. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Faith United Methodist Church in Eyota, Minn., with the Reverend Mark Woodward officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial of her ashes will be at Bremen Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Millville. Steven M. Lagerwall, age 55, of Herman, Minn., passed away Feb. 4, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Bud and Marjorie. Survived by brother, Brian. Memorial service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Cremation Society of MN, Minneapolis Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave. S. Bob Fox, age 66, of Hastings, died Feb. 8, 2010, at his home. Bob's love for his family and strong spirit gave him the will to fight colon cancer for 18 months before losing his battle and has now gained eternal life. He leaves us with unforgettable memories that will live on in our hearts and unconditional love to sustain us as we carry on his legacy. Bob was born Feb. 23, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to Robert and Audrey (Matter) Fox. He married Evelyn Gaddis on Jan. 24, 1962, in Miami, Okla. He was a postal worker for many years prior to his retirement.

Floyd D. Pratt, age 77, of Hastings, passed away Feb. 7, 2010. Preceded in death by brother, Howard Pratt. Survived by wife, Annemarie Pratt; daughter, Cynthia Pratt; son, Robert Pratt; granddaughter, Stephanie Pratt; and great-grandson, Cass. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Judy Ann Frank, of Hastings, passed away in her home on Feb. 2, 2010, at the age of 53. She was born to Joyce James Dvorak and Joyce Eileen (Bedner) Dvorak on March 8, 1956, in Bertha, Minn. She was a graduate of Bertha-Hewitt High School. Judy was passionate about her family, her friends and her pets. She enjoyed cooking, gardening (flowers), music and photography. Judy was preceded in death by her father.
Eldora Wahlstrom, age 90, of Hastings, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Regina Medical Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1919, to Charles and Helen (Freiermuth) Eiler. Eldora was united in marriage to Lavern J. Wahlstrom on Jan. 4, 1944, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton. She was a homemaker and also worked at Hudson Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lavern J., on March 15, 2009; son, James; daughters, Dianne and Patricia; and sister, Florence Gergen. Eldora is survived by her son, Laverne C.
