Steven M. Lagerwall, age 55, of Herman, Minn., passed away Feb. 4, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, Bud and Marjorie. Survived by brother, Brian. Bob Fox, age 66, of Hastings, died Feb. 8, 2010, at his home. Bob's love for his family and strong spirit gave him the will to fight colon cancer for 18 months before losing his battle and has now gained eternal life. He leaves us with unforgettable memories that will live on in our hearts and unconditional love to sustain us as we carry on his legacy. Bob was born Feb. 23, 1943, in Kansas City, Mo., to Robert and Audrey (Matter) Fox. He married Evelyn Gaddis on Jan. 24, 1962, in Miami, Okla. He was a postal worker for many years prior to his retirement.

Floyd D. Pratt, age 77, of Hastings, passed away Feb. 7, 2010. Preceded in death by brother, Howard Pratt. Judy Ann Frank, of Hastings, passed away in her home on Feb. 2, 2010, at the age of 53. She was born to Joyce James Dvorak and Joyce Eileen (Bedner) Dvorak on March 8, 1956, in Bertha, Minn. She was a graduate of Bertha-Hewitt High School. Judy was passionate about her family, her friends and her pets. She enjoyed cooking, gardening (flowers), music and photography. Judy was preceded in death by her father.
Eldora Wahlstrom, age 90, of Hastings, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Regina Medical Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1919, to Charles and Helen (Freiermuth) Eiler. Eldora was united in marriage to Lavern J. Wahlstrom on Jan. 4, 1944, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton. She was a homemaker and also worked at Hudson Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lavern J., on March 15, 2009; son, James; daughters, Dianne and Patricia; and sister, Florence Gergen. Eldora is survived by her son, Laverne C.
Mary L. Lang, age 81, of Hastings, died Jan. 31, 2010, at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Mary was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Cannon Falls to John and Katheryn (Sieben) Lang. She worked as an LPN in the health care industry. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry, Francis, and William; and sister Lucille Burbach. Mary is survived by her sisters, Kathy (John) Kummer and Maureen (David) Fasbender, both of Hastings; also many nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Stephanie Teal Fallon, age 37, of Farmington, formerly of Hastings, Minn., passed away suddenly on Jan. 28, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12. A gathering of friends and family will be 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used towards her children's education. Lorraine B. Sontag, 91, formerly of Hastings, passed away at her home on Little Hanging Horn Lake in Barnum, Minn., on Jan. 31, 2010. She was born on Dec. 7, 1918, to Jesse and Lillian Amanda Wildes. She grew up and graduated from high school in Hastings and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hastings. Lorraine worked with her husband Ed at Sontag Insurance and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed sports and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.
Vibeke A. Solac, nee Osterberg, age 88, of Hastings, passed away Jan. 31, 2010. She was born Nov. 7, 1921, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ray and Vibeke met in Denmark during WWII and continued a long distance relationship before marrying in 1948. She worked as a translator in three foreign languages for the Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C., Preceded in death by son, Christopher Solac; brother, Erik Osterberg. Survived by husband, Raymond of Hastings; sons, Peter (Jean), Michael (Robin), Thomas, Paul; daughters, Mary, Theresa (Michael) Welch; grandchildren, Adele and Josephine Welch.
