Jonathan M. Inskeep, age 25, of Eagan, died unexpectedly on April 19, 2011. He was born Jan. 30, 1986, in St. Paul, to David and Gwendolyn (Mudder) Inskeep. He was a 2004 graduate of Hastings High School and 2010 graduate of ITT Technical College.
Arnold J. Werner, age 85, of Hastings, died April 21, 2011. He was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Vermillion, Minn., to William P. and Margaret (Thurmes) Werner. Arnold married Betty Serres on Nov. 26, 1949, in Waterloo, Iowa, and had served in the Army. He worked as a farmer and carpenter prior to retirement.
Ruth Ann Dorschner, age 67, of Hastings, died April 18, 2011, at her home. She was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Hastings, to Robert and Lorraine (Pechacek) Cater. Ruth Ann was a 1962 graduate of Hastings High School and had worked as a housing specialist with Washington County prior to her retirement at age 50. She was an excellent caregiver to her parents, and her family was a very important part of her life, as was her canine companion, Abby.
Mary Marjorie "Margie" LaBoone, 84, formerly of Hastings, died at a Duluth-area nursing home on Sunday, April 17, 2011, from complications related to Alzheimer's disease. She was attended at death by family members including her husband of 63 years, retired Minnesota Conservation Officer Kenneth C. LaBoone, and staff of the Edgewood Vista hospice in Hermantown. Born Nov. 12, 1926, in St. Paul, Minn., "Margie," as she was best known to her many friends and relatives, was the daughter of the late Peter H. and Gertrude Schweigel (nee McEachern) of St.
Eileen M. (O'Leary) Ludwig, age 88, of Miesville, Minn., died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was born March 13, 1923, in Rosemount, to Denis P. and Amelia M. (Wagner) O'Leary. Eileen graduated from Rosemount High School and St. Paul Business School. Eileen married Gilbert N. Ludwig on June 12, 1948, in Rosemount.
Shelly Ann Gans, age 41, of Prescott, passed away on April 17, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in River Falls. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole, and sons, Tyler and Travis; their father, Steven Tipp; extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred. Meribeth Ann Kolehma, age 83, of Hastings, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2011, surrounded by family, from complications of lung cancer. Meribeth was born April 3, 1928, in Virginia, Minn., and was a longtime resident of Hastings. After her retirement from Dakota County, she served as a volunteer over the years at Regina Hospital, Hastings Veteran's Home, Hastings Senior Center, and Hastings Family Service. She was also an animal lover, always sharing her house with a cat(s) and/or dog. She will be greatly missed.
John P. Fox, age 48, of Hastings, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on April 17, 2011. He was the founder and owner of Precision Landscaping of Hastings for 30 years, "making Hastings beautiful one lawn at a time." He was born in Hastings on Sept. 14, 1962, to Reinold "Knob" and Pat Fox. John married Mary (Betzel) in Big River, Wis., on Dec. 29, 1990. John loved his family and lived his life to the fullest.
Doris M. Williams, age 89, of Hastings, passed away April 14, 2011. She was born June 23, 1921, in Lake Bronson, Minn., to Carl and Christine (Hammerback) Sandahl. Doris was preceded in death by her husbands, James Girvan and Norman "Bud" Williams; son Roger Girvan; parents, Carl and Christine Sandahl; sister Grace; brothers, Allan and Gordon. She is survived by her son, Robert Girvan; grandson, Jonathon Girvan; sisters Arlean (Bill) Kropelnicki and Dee (Don) Nelson; cousins; nieces and nephews. Private family services.
