Francis J. Siebenaler, age 72, passed away Jan. 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Frattalone); son, Bradley (Heidi), and grandson, Reggie, Hugo, Minn.; brothers: Richard, Wisconsin; Vern (Pat), Pennsylvania; Jim (Noreen), California; sister, Lou Ann Caneff, Hastings; sister-in-law, Rosemary, Arizona. Preceded in death by parents, Mike and Florence (Pasch); brother Arthur; nephew, Kraig; niece, Mary. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, Jan. 26, at St. Peters Catholic Church, N. St. Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Tracy Ann Munson, 38, passed away suddenly Jan. 18, 2011. She was formerly from Hastings. Preceded in death by her grandparents, she leaves behind her children, Correy Peters, Joe Bloch; father, Richard (Cindy) Munson; mother, Becky (Russ) Anderson; brothers, Dave Munson, Rich (Kari) Munson, Mike Munson, Steve Munson; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Alice E. Butze, age 74, of Hastings, died Jan. 25, 2011, at her home. Alice was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Minneapolis, to Edwin and Hazel (Hanson) Albrecht. She married Ronald H. Butze on May 16, 1959, at Salem English Church in Minneapolis.
James John Jones, 51, of Welch, died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 21, at his aunt's home. He was born Nov. 16, 1959, to Donald and Dorothy (Byer) Jones. He graduated from Capital City School in St. Paul. He was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He farmed for many years with his family and enjoyed hauling cattle.
Robert John Hollenbeck, age 76, of Hastings, passed away on Jan. 20, 2011, after a brave and courageous battle of mesothelioma, a rare form of asbestos-related lung cancer. Bob was born in Minneapolis and lived most of his life in the Coon Rapids, Minn., area. Bob and his wife Barb arrived in Hastings in 1996 when they followed an economic opportunity in which they bought a historic property on Second Street in downtown Hastings and opened the retail store "Second Childhood" in 1996 and later became Hastings residents in 1999.
Florence Devaney-Schwartz, 98, died peacefully on Jan. 22, 2011, at Regina Nursing Home, surrounded by family members. Funeral services will be in Dubuque, Iowa.
Janet F. Boliou, age 78, of Hastings, died Jan. 22, 2011, at Augustana Health Care Center. Janet was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Cannon Falls, to Raymond J. and Marjorie (McAlreath) Illa. She was united in marriage to Stanley Boliou on Sept.
Thomas Hilary Kelley of Fridley was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Fort Mandan, N.D., to Lee and Mable (Wilson) Kelley. He died Jan.
Edna M. Ohmann, age 98, of Hastings, died Jan. 17, 2011, at Regina Nursing Home. Edna was born June 6, 1912, on the home farm in Rich Valley to Walter and Eleanor (Schaar) Volkert. She married Fred Ohmann on June 12, 1937. They were lifelong farmers near Coates and cared for five foster children. Edna was a lifelong member of St.
Columbus G. Freiermuth, age 85, of Hastings, died of cancer on Jan. 15, 2011. Columbus was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Hastings, to Columbus and Mary (Biskupski) Freiermuth. He married Rose Marie Girgen on Oct. 22, 1947, in Coates. Columbus was self-employed in the construction industry and enjoyed building houses and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his parents; son David; and great-grandchildren Chris, Hannah, and Cody.
