Mary E. Tri, age 71, of Hastings, died Aug. 13, 2011, at her residence. Mary was born March 11, 1940, in St. Paul, to Louis and Eva (Deiss) Reis. She graduated from St. Benedict's High School in St. Joseph, Minn. Mary was united in marriage to Leonard Tri on Nov. 24, 1962, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in West St. Paul. She was a former cook at St. Boniface School and also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard, on Nov.
Catherine V. "Katy" Wermlund, age 94, of Hastings, died Aug. 14, 2011, at Regina Nursing Home. Katy was born on March 10, 1917, in Hastings, to Patrick and Mary E. (Sullivan) Sherry. She was a 1935 graduate of Hastings High School and married Robert J. Wermlund on Aug. 2, 1939, in Hastings.
Joseph LaVerne "Joe" Murphy, age 80, of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on Wednesday evening, Aug. 10, 2011, at the Regina Medical Center in Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls with Father Jay K. Kythe celebrating. Interment with military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
Rita A. Braun, age 80, of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Aug. 10, 2011. Rita was born on March 31, 1931, in Hastings, to Herman and Anna (Rollinger) Meyers. She was united in marriage to Edward A. Braun on Oct. 3, 1951, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton.

Gerald M. Lewis, age 66, of St. Paul, formerly of Hastings, died suddenly Aug. 6, 2011. Preceded in death by father, James. Survived by mother, Mildred (John) Vujovich; children, Kevin (Michelle Leonard), Craig, Kristin (Ramar) Edwards, and their mother, Cheryl; grandchildren, Kathryn and Ramar Jr.; brother, James (Gregg Bloomfield). Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. James Episcopal Church, 3225 E. Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave., St. Paul.
Amy K. Mahowald-Seigler, age 42, of Hastings, passed away at home, surrounded by her family and close friends, on Aug. 4, 2011. She was born in St. Paul on Feb. 10, 1969, and was married to Anthony Seigler in Spain on Jan. 10, 1992. Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Anthony of Hastings; children, Joshua and Jerica of Hastings; father, Harold "Buzzie" (Raberta "Bobbi") Mahowald of Hastings; mother, Jolinda Reyes of West St. Paul; brother Mark (Margie) Mahowald of Tennessee; sister, Krista Mahowald of St.
Thor Christopher Bradley Sr., 26, Red Wing, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 18, 1985, in Robbinsdale, Minn., the son of Garland Bradley Jr. and Charlene Roach. He grew up in North Minneapolis. The family moved to Hastings when he was 8 years old, and he attended schools there. He was a ski and snowboard instructor at Afton Alps for 5 years. He enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, motorcycle racing, and enjoyed being a fashionista.
Mildred "Mickie" Kampa, age 76, of Hastings, died Aug. 2, 2011, at her home. She was born July 26, 1935, in St. Cloud, Minn., to Raymond and Theresa (Bloomer) Muntifering. Mickie married Edward Kampa on April 27, 1957, in St. Cloud. She enjoyed music and crossword puzzles and was an avid Vikings fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; siblings Jim and Bernice. Mickie is survived by her seven children, Jeff (Judy) of Woodbury, Randy, Julie, Rick (Linda), Dan (Cindy), Ed Jr.
Nancy L. Monroe, age 56, of Hastings, passed away at home Aug. 1, 2011. Nancy was born to Ralph and Lorraine Damsgard in Hastings on May 18, 1955. She married John "Henry" Monroe Nov. 21, 1980, at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings. She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
