Lucky church members clean berries before last year's Strawberry Festival event. Berry cleaning, according to organizers, is one of the favorite chores for members before the festival, getting more volunteers for that activity than for any of the others.

Fritz Knaak, Afton's city attorney, is also one of the attorneys working on Sen. Norm Coleman's U.S. Senate election recount case against Al Franken. The Minnesota Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments in the case on June 1.
