Diving invite

The Raiders played host to the Hastings Diving Invite last week, too. It was a chance for the divers to run through their 11-dive lists as they prepare for the upcoming section meet.

“It was the first time we have ever done something like this,” coach Katie McAlpin said. “The meet went beautifully. From what we have heard from the coaches, everyone really enjoyed it.”

Here are some results from the meet:

Allissa Smith, eighth, 252.55;

Britta Johnson, 12th, 221.30;

Alaina Kremer, 15th, 199.65.

Hastings has its junior varsity conference meet on Saturday at Stillwater Junior High School.

The section prelims are planned for Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Rochester Recreation Center. The section finals are Nov. 9, also in Rochester.

The state tournament is Nov. 18-20 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
