Roger and Mary Kimmes to be inducted into Miesville baseball Hall of Fame

Roger and Mary Kimmes are this year’s inductees in the Miesville baseball Hall of Fame.

According to Denny Hoffmann, a spokesperson for the Miesville Dugout Club, Roger and Mary Kimmes both played huge roles in Miesville baseball, resulting in the success of the organization that is visible today.

Roger Kimmes was a member of the Mudhens Board of directors from 1978-2001 and Mary Kimmes was on the board from 1985-2001.

During their tenure, they were involved with the lighting the field and the electronic scoreboard that helped make Jack Ruhr Field earn the designation as one of the top amateur fields in Minnesota.

Not only were they board members, but they were also in charge of the concession stand, including working in the concession stand and doing all of the necessary tasks involved with concession stand operations from 1982-2000.

The two will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday, July 31, during Miesville Night, which features all the local Miesville businesses. The event will be held prior to the game between the Miesville Mudhens and the Eagan Bandits at 8 p.m.
