Gymnastics: Hastings loses to Woodbury, 134-131

The Hastings gymnastics team lost a close dual meet to Woodbury last Wednesday in Hastings, 134.525-131.725.

Hastings was led by its lone senior, Michelle Willis, who placed second in the all-around with 33.45 points. Jamie Becker was third with 33.275 points.

Hastings' best event on the night was vault. The team scored 33.7 points. Willis had the team's top score at 8.65. Sophia Kneen had an 8.55; Kaylee Hennen had an 8.35; Jamie Becker had an 8.15; and Laura Swaback had a 7.95.

On bars, Willis led Hastings with an 8.3. Becker had an 8.025; Hennen had a 7.85; Kneen had a 7.65.

On beam, Becker had an 8.45; Swaback had an 8.35; Hennen had an 8.2; Willis had a 7.7; and Kneen had a 7.25.

On floor, Willis had an 8.8; Becker had an 8.65; Swaback had an 8.05; Kneen had an 8.0; and Hennen had a 7.9.

On junior varsity, Hastings had three competitors. They were Kelsey Gilb, Leanna Peterson and Jorey Molitor.
