Cecilia "Ceci" Rath

Cecilia Cantu Haro was born in Bisbee, Arizona in 1925 and became Raymond Rath's WWII bride in 1944. She died peacefully in her home on February 3, 2018, a few days shy of their 74th wedding anniversary.

Together they had six children. The family lived in several U.S. cities, as well as Japan, during Ray's Air Force career. They lived in Bayport, Minnesota during his corporate career. After retirement Ceci and Ray sailed the Atlantic Ocean for six years aboard the yacht "Cecilia." Afterward, they spent 28 years on a hobby farm in Pine County. They spent the last few years in the Hastings and Bayport, Minnesota areas closer to family.

Engaging, gregarious and fun-loving, Ceci got involved wherever she lived, especially with her children's activities. She was a skilled homemaker, most renowned for her cooking, especially Mexican cuisine.

She is survived by her husband, her six children and their partners, her 12 grandchildren, including Natalia Rath (Nick) Keene and Darcy Rath, and six great-grandchildren, including Jacob and Caden Keene.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Schaar's Bluff, west pavilion, in Spring Lake Park, 11:00 - 3:00.
