Hastings community celebrates Halloween

Hastings Parks and Recreation, Community Education and the YMCA hosted a family friendly Halloween Party at Hastings High School Oct. 27.

The event included food, games, prizes and candy. Attendees wore their Halloween costume and participated in games, a haunted hallway and more. Hastings Community Television was also on scene interviewing kids on Facebook Live.

Non-perishable food items were collected for Hastings Family Service. Cash donations were accepted for the Youth Impact Council Scholarship Fund.

Michelle Wirth graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2013 with a degree in journalism and web design. She worked as a web content editor for a trade association before coming to the Hastings Star Gazette in 2016.
