Roger Warnsholz

Merlyn (Merle) Roger Warnsholz born in Ada, MN on March 25th, 1942 and passed on to the spirit world at age 75 at noon, October 27, 2017 in Hastings, MN from an extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Warnsholz, his mother Clara Hagenah Warnsholz, brothers Ronald, Daryl, sisters Delane Myers, Dorothy Fredenberg and Laurena (Burton) Slininger, some nephews and nieces and grandchildren. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church in rural Ada. Survived by his first wife, Bonnie Galagher, three children Jon (Jenny) Warnsholz, Paul Warnsholz, and Stacie (Ronnie) Warnsholz Morris, his wife Eleanore (Ellie) of 34 years, five step children, Aleta White, Eugene (Sherry) White, Lance (Linda) White, Caleb (Jenney) White, Jason (Sheryl) White, Aaron White and 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He worked as a welder for 25 years and was a foster care provider for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, woodworking, bee keeping, beer and wine making, reading, talking and socializing with friends and potential friends and interested in the spirit world. He always said that if you came into this family, it was like the Hotel California, you could always come in but you could never leave.

Merle was a disabled Vietnam Navy Veteran and his charity was the Disabled Veterans of America. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 5th at Caring Hands in Hastings, MN at 1 PM. If you are interested in donating toh is charity, it was the Disabled Veterans of America.

In July 2018 his ashes will be put into Lake Superior at Madalane Island in Bayfield, WI. All who want to attend call 612-790-8060.
