Students at Hastings Middle School raised $7,200 for Hastings Family Service in an effort to earn their spot in the annual all school tug of war. The competition was held May 26 on the North side of the school.

Two blow up pools were filled with ice water with a rope on either side. The top two classes who raised the most money in each grade participated in the event. The winning team competed in a tug of war against some of the middle school teachers.

The raised money will go toward school supplies.
