SEAS Spring Fling is planned for Friday, April 24
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School (SEAS) will hold its annual spring fling, “Let’s Luau,” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 15th St. W.
The money raised goes toward the School Endowment Fund which helps families in need of financial assistance. Some of the money also goes to grants to purchase specific items that enhance our student’s education.
This year’s Fund-A-Need is a new playground structure.
Barb Massman has donated two hand-crafted quilts to help SEAS School raise money to purchase the playground structure. One quilt is a colorful stained glass pattern and the other is a children-themed quilt.
Raffle tickets are being sold for $10 per ticket and can be purchased at SEAS Church after masses as well as in the church office during the week. Tickets can also be purchased at SEAS School, 600 Tyler St., and at KDWA Radio Station.
All of the proceeds from the sale of the raffle tickets will go directly to the playground fund-a-need. The winners of the quilt raffle will be drawn Friday, April 24, at the spring fling. Ticket-holders need not be present to win.
The spring fling begins with the cocktail and appetizer luau from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the food catered by The Onion Grille.
Bidding on the silent auction closes at 7:30 p.m. The live auction begins immediately afterward. The evening ends with DJ music and dancing.
Anyone can help by making a contribution directly to this need with cash donations or donating gift cards, sports or theater tickets, weekend at a cabin experience, time-share opportunities for the auctions. More information is available at the school, 437-4254.
Tickets for the evening are $35 before April 3, $40 after April 3. They will be available after weekend Masses, in the school office, and in the parish office.
