Police blotter preview: Aug. 8 to Aug. 14

• A man was cited for trespassing after he refused an officer's order to leave a building in the 1100 block of Bahls Drive at 5:57 p.m. Aug. 9.

The man was waiting to speak to a woman inside the apartment. She didn't want to speak with him. Officers made contact with the man and told him he needed to leave the property. The man asked officers what would happen if he didn't leave. The officer told the man he'd be arrested for trespassing.

The officer then asked the man to leave and he again refused. He told the officer he would be heading in to the building, and the man began walking toward it.

The officer then arrested the man and transported him to the Dakota County Jail.

• Officers responded to the area of Fourth and Sibley streets on the report of an intoxicated male. Officers found a man at 1 a.m. Aug. 13 who was half on the street and half on the curb. Officers couldn't wake the man at first, but eventually were able to do so. The man couldn't answer simple questions from officers. Rather, he was swearing at them.

He was transported to Ramsey County detox.
