Harassing phone calls charged
Dakota County Sheriff's Office have charged a 25-year-old Hastings man, with one count of harassment in connection with a series of phone calls he allegedly made to a the mother of his child.
According to the criminal complaint filed in the Dakota County Attorney's office, the woman told a deputy Tony Steven Dewitt had called her many times, leaving voice messages and making threatening and harassing comments. The deputy was able to listen to some of the calls which had been saved by the woman.
In a telephone conversation with the the deputy, Dewitt admitted making the phone calls and said he did so because he was upset.
